Iam Angie with Writer on the River. We help organize and run a charity event in Peoria, IL called Writers on the River. 2025 will be our 10th year. We have raised over $78,000 for our charity Thistle Farms. We are hoping in year 9, this July, to break the $100,000 mark. FINGERS CROSSED!
Since we are a 501c3, we won’t send out official invites until August 2024 when this year’s event is over and the donation has been made to Thistle Farms. Fingers crossed we make a $22,000 donation between the 2 fundraisers we do, the anthology Kate Hawthorne is organizing for us, our raffle baskets, and ticket sales.

Our VIP for 2024…it was crazy. In 20 minutes we sold 180/200 tickets before we crashed the ticketing platform. The last 20 tickets sold in 3 days.
We have almost 500 tickets out between VIP and general admission already. We max out tickets to be 500. We still have plenty of space for all the attendees and authors.
